Invisible Disability

“Never judge a book by it’s cover.”

People walk through life everyday making assumptions about those around them. Even as someone who lives with an invisible disability, she finds herself wishing the person in front of her at the grocery store would move faster, wondering how on earth a Dodge Charger has a handicap license plate; not remembering that each person has a story.

She hopes that Human Library Readers will be able to see life differently through her experiences searching for an answer to her health questions. From losing her voice amidst prejudice and judgement from not only strangers, but family and medical professionals; to advocating for her own care, her life, her disorder. Her story is a journey that will no doubt open others’ eyes to the possibilities and hidden truths in the people around them - within the pages of each person’s book.
